Around the World in 60 minutes
Back to teaching again and this time it was in Banglamung. These kids were 8-10 years old, and what did we learn today????
Countries from around the world with a globe, a blow up globe. This globe is the best invention ever! The kids are always ecstatic to learn about nationalities and geography. It was so much fun teaching them where to locate places like Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Japan, China, Italy, Izmir, Belize, Lebanon, Thailand..it goes all around the world. After we learn how to locate these countries we pass the globe around to each person and we then locate a requested country.
Yes, these children have probably never heard of these places and that is why it is so exciting to them. Different methods for different teachers, but one thing I know for sure is that they love the bouncing globe! I do too! Don’t you just love international relations…with young impressionable minds!!
